In a significant update, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has officially disclosed the provisional answer keys for two crucial written examinations conducted on January 8, 2024.
These examinations were specifically designed for the recruitment of Assistant Scientific Officers, with one focusing on the domain of Ballistics and the other on Physics. Both positions fall under the purview of the Home Department, UT Cadre.
For candidates who actively participated in the Assistant Scientific Officer (Ballistics) exam, the detailed provisional answer key can be conveniently accessed here

The JKSSB has laid out a transparent process for candidates to raise objections or concerns regarding the provided answer keys. Those with objections are urged to submit them, accompanied by necessary documentary evidence, following the prescribed format outlined in Annexure “B.”
It is essential to note that objections can only be submitted in offline mode, either at the JKSSB office in CPO Chowk, Panjtirthi, Jammu, or the JKSSB office in Zamzam Building, Rambagh, Srinagar.
The submission window for objections is open during the three working days starting from January 9, 2024, strictly within office hours.
The Board has emphasized that it will not entertain any representations or objections after the stipulated period or through alternative modes.
The fee for submitting objections is Rs. 200 per question, payable in the form of a demand draft favoring the Accounts Officer, J&K Services Selection Board. This fee is refundable in cases where objections are found to be genuine or correct.
It is worth noting that if any objection is validated, the Answer Key will be revised accordingly for all candidates, without individual notifications regarding the acceptance or non-acceptance of objections.
